AGENDA: SPECIAL EVENING PROGRAM ON TELEHEALTH
Sunday, March 22, 2015

Innovations in telehealth technologies are transforming healthcare delivery to meet the various needs of healthcare consumers. With the use of smart phones, tablets and portable electronic devices, patients and healthcare professionals can interact virtually for a routine visit, consultation or management of a chronic illness. The physician-patient relationship can be enhanced through sharing of medical information, documents and on-demand health education programming.

Technology has the potential to reduce wait times, improve outcomes and lower costs by facilitating connections between patients and providers. But many challenges remain. Successful virtual visits and consultation requires specialized training and preparation of the care team. How does a system prepare to implement a telehealth strategy? How can telemedicine be used to treat the more complex patient?

Join us on Sunday evening, March 22nd for a special Telehealth Dinner and Summit. This program will feature an overview of the regulatory and reimbursement challenges, presentations from leaders who have implemented successful telehealth initiatives, and an interactive futures-focused panel discussion.
